Well, after learning about Maddie's cousin Grace diving to the bottom of the pool (with assistance) after her first session of swim lessons this summer, it was a tad disconcerting today to be once again in the deep end of the pool, swimming in a circle, holding a fighting Maddie ("I want to get more TOYYYYS") and singing "the wheels on the bus". Its going to be a long two weeks if she doesn't have an attitude adjustment!
Sam didn't want to go into the "big pool" and whined a bit, but the instructors took over, and he ended up having a good time. At the end of the session, he announced "hey mommy, we get to come back tomorrow! Thats cool!". Amen, brother.
Thankfully, after 4 years and two toddlers in baby swim, this is my final year of getting in the pool. Next year, you will find me in the shade, feet up in a chaise lounge, reading a paperback novel.
