Like digging a hole in the sand...
Note: it is a good idea to keep your three-year-old cousin nearby, so she can go get help when you get stuck INSIDE the hole you dug.
I'm now calling my nephew "The Sand Man". He can dig some deeeeeeep holes in the sand.

Love it! Talk about "burying your head in the sand!". I'm going to keep this in mind next time I go to the beach... could keep my kids occupied for a while! Your blog is great... glad I found it!
