Too Smart for Mama

I don't know if its just that my kids have huge vocabularies, or that they are very good at parroting my words back at me but....

Pea pushed back from a still full, barely touched dinner plate this evening.
"I'm done!", she announced.

I looked at her sternly and said"You didn't eat a thing on that plate!"

She paused, and carefully looking over her dinner, replied, "And apparently, I didn't drink my milk either".

Smiling, she left the room. She told me, then, eh?
