Sam Votes

Today, Sam's class cast their votes for President.
His class elected Barack Obama.

I said "Sam, who did YOU vote for?"
"Barack Obama", he replies.

Curious as to the workings of the 4 year mind with regards to how he came to his decision, I ventured a "What made you vote for him?"

"He was on the Red team, Mommy. Red is my favorite color"

Huh.

I'm guessing that - while unfortunate in this day and age- he isn't the only one playing the color card at the voting booth. I hope I'm wrong!
